She is a Dual Language and Arabic World Language teacher at Elizabeth Learning Center in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). She currently teaches middle school Arabic as well as 6th-grade math and science.
She brings over six years of teaching experience from Minaret Academy Saturday School, an Islamic school in Southern California, and she also worked as a substitute teacher at Minaret Academy and in the Westminster School District for three years.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s degree in Chemistry, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Arabic, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Bilingual Authorization.
She has presented at numerous education and language conferences, including ACTFL, the Immersion Conference in Utah, CLTA, and ISNA. As an active member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), she has served as a presenter for the past four years. In addition, she has presented at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) conference in California for the last three years.
