She obtained Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry in 1992 from, Nigeria. She is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and a distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry where she is currently a lecturer. Administratively she had been the Head, Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry; President, Science Association of Nigeria; Coordinator, African Centre for Herbal Research, Ilorin and the Dean, Postgraduate School, Unilorin. She is a member of academic and professional societies and a Fellow of Science Association of Nigeria, Public Analyst of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership. USA.

She published academic papers in reputable National and International journals and books. She has also attended and presented papers at conferences and workshops.

She is serving as a consultant for National Universities Commission and the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board in Nigeria.
